NATIONAL MATERIAL PROCESSING, LLC AND INTERSTATE STEEL PROCESSING COMPANY – National Material Processing, LLC (NMP) and Interstate Steel Processing (ISP) operate three slitting and two pickling and cut-to-length steel processing facilities strategically nestled within the heart of the U.S. steel industry. Key industries served include the Automotive, Appliance, Agriculture, Construction, Office Furniture and Tube & Pipe. NMP, the first steel processor to introduce a push-pull pickle line in the Indiana Harbor area, specializes in the processing of heavy gauge, hot rolled carbon steel up to .500″ (1.27cm) thick and offers precision slitting, cut-to-length and advanced PRO-ECO, hydrochloric acid pickling services. ISP provides precision slitting of lighter gauge cold rolled and coated steel products from .010 – .135 x 60″ (.025cm – .343cm x 15.24m). It operates a looping pit slitter with shimless tooling and computer assisted setups, and maintains multiple slitting lines within the Illinois/Indiana port area.
